Marhaba Language Expertise is a personal enterprise, utilizing more than a decade of top-notch academic training to solve real-world problems of communication. I provide high-quality, reliable language expertise. My credentials include a PhD in Arabic Studies (The University of Texas at Austin, 2013) and years of experience in the fields of translating (Arabic to English, since 2009), editing (English, since 2014), and teaching (Arabic language and culture, since 2006).
Translation AR>EN
Bridging Arabic and Anglophone cultures, I translate Arabic to English, providing both literary & commercial translation for agencies and individuals. I also offer these related Multilingual Services: research, cultural analysis, communications problem-solving, and subject matter expertise in materials pertaining to my specializations.

Unlimited by the inherent constraints of a classroom, or even an educational institution, I provide customized learning experiences for individuals and groups. All levels of Arabic, including professional training and coaching. Online & on-site.
Consulting
Consulting in Arabic language and literature encompasses a wide range of additional services, including: Advising individuals interested in beginning careers in translation, Designing Arabic teaching and learning materials, Partnering with publishers to assist in the process of publishing translations.
If you have a project that might benefit from my expertise, let me know!
Giving Back
MLE is a proud patron of M. Lynx Qualey’s ArabLit. In addition, at the end of each year, I like to make a donation in gratitude for the success of this business. Recipients have been Atlas Cultural Foundation and the Center for Arabic Study Abroad. The former reduces disparities and ensures equal access to education in rural regions of Morocco, a country that hosted me graciously over many years. CASA enabled much of my expertise. May these gifts enable others to learn and succeed. Thank you to all the clients and colleagues who help to make this work possible.
